While my sister was still in the hospital. My sister put her on Similac Alumni, and its a special formula for babies who do not tolerate lactose very well its also for colic babies.

switch her formula, since they doctors aren’t doing anything, something should help, but I recommend Similac.

good luck.That is very possible! talk to your doctor about alternativesit could be..give her some pedialyte instead of water.. but seeing as shes sleeping 20 hours instead of 12 she may just have a little virus (cold) they dont always come with the sniffles) so keep up with the pedia lyte and try the milk again tomorrow..I would try to switch to Enfamil or Similac as they are the best two choices as far as quality goes. I’ve never heard of ‘presidents choice’ ,it sounds like some cheap brand probably made in china. You don’t want to fool around with garbage brand formula, your baby is too important. Similac offers a Soy based version to try if your baby is lactose intolerant.

You could also see a different doctor for another opinion. Being a parent means sometimes fighting for your child’s well being. Step up to the plate and Demand answers. If your doctor cant give you any then find a new doctor.They said this happens more often in boys then girls but my son was everything he drank. I got the “we can’t do anything until he’s dehydrated and won’t check him out…it’s probably just spit up, you’re a young mom” (I’d just turned 18) Turned out a week of this he had a condition called Pyloric Stenosis where his Pyloris muscle (somewhere on the stomach) wouldn’t open and allow food to go through. So the day he turned 4 weeks old he had surgery and spend 4 days in the hospital. It worked wonders and he never even spit up after that. My daughter is 5 weeks old, we have her on formula because I never got in breast milk. The last week she has been very niggly and crying alot, and the last two days she hasn’t been ble to keep anything down and projectile vomiting. She is so tired from that, that she is sleeping about 20hrs a day from her usual 12 or so. Is this normal? My doctor and the E.R said they can’t do anything unti she gets dehydrated because she seems healthy to them. I’m worried because she isn’t getting any food. I have been giving her some water and she is keeping that down. I have her on Presidents choice formula.Is it possible that she is lactose intolerent?
