Napa Solano SANE/SART golf tournament Monday
Napa Solano SANE/SART is partnering with Napa Emergency Women’s Services in the fight against sexual assault for its sixth annual golf tournament on Monday at Napa Valley Country Club.
The day will feature golf, dinner and a silent auction. The cost is $175 per golfer (includes lunch, drinks, dinner, silent auction). Sponsorship cost is $1,500 (includes media recognition, foursome, tee sign, lunch, drinks, dinner and silent auction). Tee sponsor cost is $150.
Driving range opens at 10:30 a.m. Registration takes place at 11 a.m., and the scramble format shotgun start is 12 p.m.
Non-golfers can still participate by donating items to the silent auction and/or by attending the dinner, silent auction and awards ceremony for $75.

North Bay Basketball Academy starts Sunday
North Bay Basketball Academy will provide instruction with an emphasis on fundamentals and skill development. The coaches are Justin-Siena assistant girls varsity coach Andy Viera, JV girls head coach Andy Bettencourt, and assistant girls coach Vicky Deely.
• Sunday Night Skills & Scrimmage is Sundays from 4 to 5:30 p.m. (grades 3-8) and 5:30 to 7 p.m. (grades 9-12), from Sept. 11 through Oct. 30, at Justin-Siena’s Dan Clark Gym. Each session includes 45 to 50 minutes of skills and fundamentals workouts, and 45 to 50 minutes of controlled scrimmages. Grade levels will be divided during scrimmages. Cost is $160 for eight workouts.
• Fall Developmental Program is Mondays and Wednesdays, from 6 to 7:15 p.m. (grades 3-8) and 7:15 to 8:30 p.m. (grades 9-12), from Sept. 12 through Oct. 26. Monday sessions are at the Napa Boys and Girls Club, and Wednesday sessions at Justin Siena. It will focus on fundamentals such as ball handling, shooting, defensive/offensive footwork, rebounding and passing. Cost is $140 for seven workouts (once a week), or $250 for 14 workouts (twice a week). Financial assistance is available.
